Secrets of Adulthood

You might have seen the tag on some of my posts, or come across the phrase and wondered what it meant. And I'd like a place to correlate these anyway, so I have decided to set one up.

I have borrowed the phrase "Secrets of Adulthood" from Gretchen Rubin's book The Happiness Project. I'm not sure whether she correlated hers before she started the Happiness Project or over the course of it, but I liked the idea, and decided to try and make a note of my own. The idea is little things that I work out along the way that should be pretty obvious but somehow are not.

Gretchen's, for those who are interested, can be found here.

So here is my list so far.

1. Other people that you live with may also use up consumables.

2. Real life is not about effort or degrees of personal improvement or excellence. It is about passing or failing.

3. When you feel like taking a nap, exercise.

4. The dentist does not hurt.
